New Math Teacher is the one spot stop for engaging and effective math curriculum including lessons, activities, games, and additional resources in STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) education.

In addition to sharing our excellent math content, New Math Teacher curriculum specialists also provide individual and small group tutoring and workshops at local libraries in the San Mateo, CA area. Rates are as follows:

Individual Math Instruction: $50/hour with a minimum of four sessions per month

Small Group Math Instruction: $50/hour for the first student, $10/hr for each additional student

Real World Math Workshop: $500 for the 10 hour, week-long workshop (4 student min)

No matter where a student starts her academic career, she can always improve her learning with hard work, practice, and effective strategies.

Mary Dournaee

Curriculum Developer, Web Designer & Tutor

Mary Dournaee has over fifteen years of experience working in STEM education, both in the public and private sector. She has degrees in mechanical engineering, computer science, and education. She's been a program manager and director of education for various math tutoring and after school programs. As a credentialed teacher, she's taught math and science across the San Francisco Bay Area.

Sarah Johnson

Web Designer & Tutor

Sarah Johnson obtained her computer science degree and is eager to put it to good use creating engaging and creative online content. She helps maintain the New Math Teacher website and associated social media. Sarah loves experimenting with the latest educational technology tools and apps and sharing her discoveries with the rest of us.
